Created through Gabriel’s and Analia’s own training, vast knowledge and expertise, this seminar was constructed to help dancers or all levels and experience become the best tango dancers they can be. “As for Mr. Missé, I know of no dancer today of whom people – rightly – speak with such affectionate awe. Artist’s bios

GABRIEL MISSE

Known for his classic style, Missé is one of the great milongueros of this generation. From the age of 6, he studied Argentine tango with masters Antonio Todaro and Pepito Avellaneda and performed with leading artists and musicians like Julian Plaza, Colangelo, Oscar Basil, Alberto Castillo, Roberto Goyeneche, Mariano Mores, and Armando Manzanero. He has appeared in tango documentaries for National Geographic and on Japanese television. For many years, Missé was part of the Miguel Angel Zotto’s company Tango x 2, the world tour of Una Noche de Tango and has choreographed several touring tango shows. An accredited judge for the Buenos Aires Metropolitan and World Tango Championships, Missé has taught and danced in festivals in Europe, Asia, Australia, and North & South America.

ANALIA CENTURION

Analia Centurion began studying classical dance at age 6 and began dancing tango at 16. She has extensive experience dancing and teaching tango in various festivals and workshops in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. She has been a member of Mora Godoy and Juan Carlos Copes companies and performed in Cacho Castaña, the House Dinner Show, Piazzolla Tango, La Ventana, Madero Tango, Boca Tango and Tango Complex. From 2001-2005, Analia was a director and choreographer of the Fusion Tango Buenos Aires’ junior company and has been a judge for the World Tango Championship. Currently, she is the director of “Belgrano 333”, a tango studio in Chacabuco province of Buenos Aires.

Tango is described as “souls sharing a dance with the same rhythm at the same time.””A three minute romance,” filled with passion and adventure, Tango is beloved around the world.The mission of the “Shall We Tango NYC” festival is, in recognition of PAMAR’s 30th Anniversary, to promote Latin American culture through a series of world-class Tango events at some of New York City’s leading theaters and institution. This year we will honor acclaimed Argentinean bandondeon player, composer and musical arranger, Anibal Troilo’s legacy of work. Our goal for the Shall We Tango festival is to Promote Tango, educate the population on the diversity of Tango and strengthen our community.

Tango Stars Junior Cervila & Natalia Royo in Feb/March: Workshops, Practicas, Movie & Milonga

JUNIOR CERVILA & NATALIA ROYO

 Antonio “Junior” Cervila is an internationally known performer, choreographer and instructor. He is recognized for his creative tango stylings, his intricate footwork, as well as his dance versatility. Junior has been choreographic assistant to tango legend, Juan Carlos Copes, and his performances have been seen worldwide on Argentinian television, on stage (Broadway’s “Tango Argentino”), on tour (most notably with Julio Iglesias) and on screen (“Tango”, nominated for an Academy Award for best foreign film, 1999).

 Natalia Royo´s background in Artistic Gymnastics has given her a versatility which she has applied to many dances such as tango, jazz, classical ballet, samba, salsa, and zouk. She joined Junior Cervila´s Latin Dance Company in 2006 and since then has toured with them to Japan, USA, Brazil, Russia and Greece as well as performing in Argentina, and since 2007 has assisted Junior with his choreography for the company.

She is a renowned teacher, and has taught at the Salon Canning and La Escuela Argentina de Tango de Buenos Aires at Centro Cultural Borges in Buenos Aires, and has taught at the Salon Gricel with Demian Garcia in Buenos Aires. She has also filmed a DVD series teaching Tango.
